Sundance Institute Graton Fellowship
Artists from federally and nonfederally recognized California-based tribes may apply. Two fellows each receive a $25,000 grant and a year of creative and strategic support.

OCTOBER 30: HKIFF INDUSTRY PROJECT MARKET
The Hong Kong - Asia Financing Forum accepts in-development feature projects through October 30, with an early-bird discount for entries by September 30.

Film Independent and Humana Foundation Shorts
Five U.S.-based director-producer teams will develop short films about the lives and contributions of seniors, each with an all-in $100,000 budget. Film Independent will own the completed films.

The New Yorker Festival
The festival brings together writers, artists, performers and public figures for interviews, performances and cultural conversations. Public, ticketed program.

OCTOBER 21: BERLINALE FEATURE FILMS
Feature submissions for the 2027 Berlin International Film Festival close October 21, shorts November 4. Fees are €175 for features and €75 for shorts.
